Thank you for voting "No" to protect Frame Park. Thank you for standing against this segregationist proposal offensive to neighbors, renters and home owners living near Frame Park. It's shameful and disgusting that the policy from City Hall in Waukesha Wisconsin is overtly social class segregation. It’s not O.K. to offend the neighbors who live on the other side the tracks. But the proponents and politicians who said “not in my neighborhood” have gotten their way on behalf of business owners and who don’t even live in Waukesha.

You saw the 200 signatures against this stadium proposal for issues such as traffic, noise, litter, drunken driving, property devaluation that were collected and entered into record at the Plan Commission meeting. 79 of those signatures were by residence living on 3 and 1/2 streets within 1/2 to 2 blocks of the proposed stadium. As the petitions were viewed by the commission members, they appeared to stop at Larry Nelson in the middle and go no further to his right where all the commission members who voted “for” the proposal were seated.

It’s too bad they didn’t reach Alderman Paul Ybarra. He stated that his family used to live on The Strand, a street near Frame Park. Had he read the petitions he would have noticed that nearly everyone on The Strand signed the petition against. Then again, what does he care about the people on the other side of the tracks? After taking his family to their weekly ride around Frame Park on rented bicycles, they hop back in the car and go home to a nice neighborhood on the far west side of Waukesha, far away from the problems the “other people” will have to deal with; noise, litter, traffic, parking, drunk drivers, people urinating in the neighborhood 34 times every summer for a generation.

Oh yes, Waukesha is a truly is a throwback to the 60’s under its current leadership.

Here’s another test. Let’s see how long it will take before an application is submitted for a variance to the 10p.m. curfew in Frame Park to accommodate extra innings games.

I’m sure Waukesha City Hall is ready and willing to help get another “pass” for the stadium users, damned be to the people on the other side of the tracks.

BTW, are the 64 parking spaces now incorporated into the stadium fencing area for sale as “preferred parking” revenue for the team? If so, why didn’t Lori Luther see that as revenue for the city? It’s not part of the stadium now and wasn’t part of the rough draft use agreement approved by 10 brave alderman.
